All the research tells you that friendships are important. It’s relationships that keep you mentally and physically healthy. Heh, one of my friends told me it slows aging. You do have to put the effort in though. Friendships need investment. Time, thought, commitment even. It’s worth it though. I make a point of meeting my friends every day. I say ‘meeting’, but of course that’s sometimes just a brief conversation but it’s those small connections that make the relationship powerful. And yes, of course they’re digital – what isn’t? After all my friends are busy: on tour, on set, online.
