I think younger colleagues have it easier. It’s natural for them. I sometimes think I can hear it when they talk. Punchy, punctuated conversations. I’m probably imagining it. But they’re experts at what I call “Haiku content”. Small things that open to something bigger. They call it “Tardis speak” – not that they’ve probably ever sat through a whole episode! It’s not an attention span thing. They just naturally compress. The problem is that’s now the standard for all our comms. I spend so long trying to get my strategy document down to.. what is the recommendation now? 100 words.
