He knew he’d have problems. The WhatsApp group was buzzing since he’s floated the idea. Phrases like “hole in the fence”, “blind spot” and even “failing in his responsibilities” were now common. Opting out wasn’t going to be easy. It was partly money. He wanted to cancel his overall membership and of course that meant the security went too. But it was also the principle.
