Surprised? No, not really. Very little surprises me these days. I saw it coming TBH. They shouldn’t really have been surprised at what I said. But they were. It’s not as though my position on these issues hasn’t been clear, or, I would argue, legitimate. They know I’m not the emotional type, jumping on bandwagons with no thought. I’ve studied the issues deeply and my position is well argued and supported by the latest and broadest range of facts and other analyses. I’m not some hot-headed partisan or activist. That’s why I got this job. That how they programmed me.
