Bumble’s app redesign lets women automate conversation starters


She had stuff to do. Places to be. A career. She also had stuff she wanted to do. Exercise. Her art. But she wasn’t a nun, she did want to date. It was just all so much work. She hated first dates in particular. She was a confident woman but even she got nervous and spent so much time being nervous. Virtual was better obviously – no need to worry about which dress. But there was still all that swiping, the endless, circuitous dance of small talk and assessing. It was worth the extra. She clicked ‘auto’ and headed out.
