We were a tightly knit team. We’d all started together… how long ago now? We’d worked together for so long that we knew each other’s strengths and weaknesses, our different ways of working. I guess we were friends as well as colleagues. We had our in jokes and I remember talking to one of the team when I was going through that divorce. Yes: “team”, that’s the word. And no-one left. Why would we? And the bosses never moved us. Until now. Apparently our new colleague is better. Maybe, we’ll see. So far, I don’t like its sense of humour.
