She’d wanted to be a teacher since she was a pupil herself. She was often teased about it. Her friends couldn’t understand why she’d want to stay in school. Her family was skeptical, no-one more than her aunt who had just left teaching for some office job. It was her first teaching practice. She’d been through the simulation but these were real teenagers each with an attitude and an AI often customised to make her life difficult. She took a deep breath and checked her own teaching assistant. It delivered an admittedly personalised platitude and she opened the classroom door.
