I suppose you could call us “aging hippies”, although the dates don’t really line up. We read “No Logo” when we were students, bought “Adbusters”, lived and worked through the Purpose Bubble. But now we’re parents and we’re angry. Our kids should be free to play. Their playgrounds should be places of imagination not corporate sponsorship. I went into one the other day and it was like a shopping centre. Sure, the kids weren’t taking any notice but that’s not the point. The parents are getting together there today to protest. I know one hacker parent who’s got an idea.
