He wasn’t a bad person. He’d have voted Green if he’d lived in Brighton. As it was he’d sighed, voted Labour and was already bemoaning the timidity of the new government at dinner parties. He was considering installing solar. He was a Guardian reader, if not subscriber. Yes he’d say he was an “activist”, just not the usual sort. But, he was getting increasingly annoyed with the Integrity Department. He was on board with the ideas of course but it just didn’t seem to understand the pressures he was under, the work he did. Perhaps it was the Integrity’s programming.
