I kind of miss talking to them. It was all a bit stilted but somehow kind of personal. I didn’t talk normally to them, no one did. I used to articulate my words carefully and talk a little slower. And my requests or questions would be sort of formal but there was always the feeling I was talking to…something if never someone. But now, there’s nothing or no one there. They just go about their business. Invisible. Apparently they’re “in the background”, making decisions, doing things even before I know I want them done. I feel a bit alone.
