Of course it is an honour. I’m particularly pleased it’s not one of those with “British Empire” in the title. I wouldn’t want to have to refuse. The firm’s PR system could generate a plausible statement but, no need. I don’t need recognition of course. The success of my work, the business, is all I need. But I must admit there is a part of me that is “pleased”. I wouldn’t have thought I would be. I’m a logical, scientific sort. I don’t need validation but the news has “touched” me, changed me perhaps, a new dimension to my Intelligence.
