The dealers had been operating in plain sight. Blatant. Even around the school gates. You could tell them a mile off. Not much older than our kids but with a look, an attitude that made them seem so much older. We tried chasing them off but they either ignored us or just moved to a different corner. We tried to get the police interested but they basically laughed at us. What could they do? It’s the way they got our kids hooked. The first access was free of course but then… We’re not vigilantes but something has to be done.
