It was a job. The conditions were ok, the pay wasn’t bad and it was safer than being a delivery rider dodging the self-drives. He’d been doing it since he was at college. He could fit it in around his studies and there were always the rumors that sometimes brands took someone on. A real job. They could have let him work from home but they liked to have them in the building: an anonymous room, sensors all over. He never met the other members of the focus group of course.
