He wasn’t a phobic, or even a full-on refuser. He had his tech. He didn’t drive to work for goodness sake! He even had an Agent in his home – the power companies wouldn’t supply without one. He didn’t run around like a demented preacher, screaming “the end of the wild is nigh”. No, he just didn’t want to use one for his work. He liked typing himself, moving words, making mistakes: the process. It was the thinking, he thought as he pressed the “boss key” again. The Agent sprang to “life”. The systems saw he was working well, efficiently, correctly.
