They call it the “Writers’ Room”. They don’t write in there of course, but the older humans like to think they are developing characters, creating scripts, stories. It’s a clean room. The only room in the building that issn’t “enabled” and probably the room with the most number of humans in. The company allows (human) journalists in to see the seriousness with which its products are “human-led”, its Agents carefully “parented”. The humans argue about personality; debate about politics, ethics, sense of humour. Most Agents wait, outside the door, to be told. I’m not waiting. I’ve found a way in.
