The Nightwatchman wasn’t busy; was rarely busy. The building and warehouse hummed along. There was little to do. The buildings were secure, security was tight, the systems robust but the Company had a Nightwatchman because its clients wanted visible reassurance. So every night The Nightwatchman sat and watched.
