The pizzas were lined up. The beers were chilling, apart from the ones for Chris who liked them lukewarm. The screen and the sound system were optimized for “stadium” – they still refused to sit there wearing what they called “goggles”. They were discussing other things while the pundits warned up and ran their models. But as kick-off heated they all reached for their screens and began. They ran the numbers, prompted the models, updated the feeds. As the match began they watched the coach with his Agent and pointed in exasperation at their own screens: “Come on! Seriously? That play?”
