There were other reset days during the year: ones prompted by his employer’s People Agent, ones from his doctor or his insurance company, wherever his data showed the need for a “Resolution”. But he liked the New Year resolution. It felt like a tradition. He remembered his dad joking about his gym membership. He also liked it because he got to pick. He got advice obviously, his Agent presented the options but he got to commit. Other reset days just appeared in the house. He’d find the devices were updated, sensors reconfigured. Today he got to programme the fridge himself.
