They’d tried bribery. They then moved on to threats. The bribery stage was farcical. Overly jolly statements selling the benefits. Gamified initiatives. League tables and prizes. Maybe I’m just old! Then the threats. They were polite but threats nonetheless. The company’s Whips let it be known that bonuses, progression and even job security were intimately tied up with the “Agent Partnership Initiative”. Some of us tried to hold out but… The rhetoric is all about productivity. It’s ironic really. I spend so long now tweaking prompts, hacking my “Partner” so its outputs match what I know is the right thing.
