Norm took his seat on the stool. He always tried to get this space: a man of habit. The bartender was serving someone but that was ok. He wasn’t in a rush. This was the sort of place to take your time: a drink, a chat. He put his device on the bar, straightened it up and watched the connection. His Agent made its recommendations but he took no notice. The bartender came over. She was new. The Agent had reluctantly placed its order and uploaded his data. She looked at her screen and began to read her chat script.
