They didn’t have a “Born in the USA” anthem telling their story. But like generations of vets before them, they were ignored, rejected… and angry. They’d served their country in popular and unpopular wars, they’d kept their mouth shut about hidden wars, done things they couldn’t talk about. But they were ostracised by their communities who felt guilty, by their government who wanted to forget. Some had awards and medals, few had civilian jobs. All had stories they could only tell to each other. They had nowhere to run, nowhere to go. But both human and AI vets were angry.
