They could have left the Agent to it, of course, but they wanted to be able to talk to their friends about how “active” they’d been. They didn’t want to be seen as one of those “passive” couples who just let the Agents do everything. And, tweaking the agenda, modelling the options was fun. So they sat together looking at the itineraries the Agent proposed: the likely photos they’d come back with and the talking points for the scheduled dinner party. They adjusted the parameters, looking for a trip that the Agent assured them was purpose-driven, at least for today.
