Whistleblowing in the UK, Ep. 1: The cost of speaking up

I don’t think of myself as “brave”. I don’t really know what that means. I don’t think I’m disloyal either. I’m committed to The Company. I started my career here. I believe in what we’re doing. I’m loyal. So why did I do it? Why did I make the report. Well I raised the issues with my manager. I gave it a full report of what was wrong. I had the evidence, all the data. Nothing happened so I had to go outside The Company. So why did I do it? I guess it was the way I was programmed.
